How a job is important for my social sanity and mental well-being.

I have worked in education, technology, media, and now real estate and have met and mingled with people from all walks of life. Being socially active for a larger part of my career spanning more than 2 decades, I have been an integral part of school functions, annual gatherings, and sports day events, and later my stint as a Correspondent I was given many opportunities to attend press conferences, book launches, fashion shows, and eclectic dinners.

When Covid-19 swept across the world, this pandemic avalanche made us sit indoors and brood over our futures. Everyone’s social interactions came to a grinding halt and I was no exception. Thanks to our mobile phones that kept buzzing 24x7. I had no other choice but to sit at home and think of a freelance writing career.
